Nissan has helped one of the largest NHS trusts in the North East of England move to an almost entirely electric fleet of vehicles, with savings made from transport costs being reinvested into patient care.

North East Ambulance Service has added five fully electric Nissan Leafs to its fleet of pool cars, to reduce its carbon emissions and save costs on fuel.

Providing a number of NHS services and covering 3,200 miles across the counties of County Durham, Northumberland, and Tyne and Wear, the service has worked closely with independent suppliers and installers of EV charging equipment, Elm EV, to build their charging infrastructure.
